For Funders

Who never applies to you?

Look at last year's application data. Who applied, who was funded, and who never appeared at all. The gap between your mission and your reach usually sits in the third group: organisations ruled out before they started by the criteria, the form, the language or the track record requirement. That gap is measurable, and it is fixable.

Our method is See, Shape, Sustain

See: We map your funding cycle as applicants experience it, using your data and evidence rather than anecdote.

Shape: We change the mechanics that decide who gets through: criteria, questions, scoring, decision making.

Sustain: We build the practices that keep it working, so equity survives staff changes and strategy reviews.

We work with the DEI Data Standard and IVAR's Open and Trusting grant making commitments, and turn both from statements into practice.

Why Now

From September 2026, the DWP's Pathways to Work Innovation Fund, worth up to £60 million, pulls hundreds of civil society organisations into competitive bidding, many for the first time. The organisations with bid teams will be ready. The organisations closest to the communities you fund often will not be. Funders who act now decide which of those 2 groups their grantees sit in.

Who This Is For

Trusts, foundations, corporate foundations, community foundations and public funders who want their money to reach further, and evidence that it does.

Where does equity sit in your next programme review?
